Energy Performance Certificates

Big Picture are fully qualified, accredited and insured Domestic Energy Assessors who provide a thoroughly reliable, comprehensive Energy Performance Certificate service.

Why do you need an EPC and what is involved?

Since 2008 it has become compulsory, when letting or selling a property, to provide an Energy Performance Certificate to let any potential purchasers/renters know how energy efficient the property is. You must commission an EPC before a property is marketed for sale or rental.

We will look at the age of the building, what materials and how it is constructed, the levels of insulation and the type of building, and input the collected data into the system to produce a certificate with a rating. The certificate will produce several recommendations on how to make the property more energy efficient, none of which are compulsory, more just advice! The recommendations will help to reduce the amount of CO2 the property produces, and therefore your monthly energy costs.

We can also offer a floor plan drafting service with your EPC visit and save the need for another appointment.
